Joey is 5!

Joey officially turned 5 today. We had to celebrate last night due to our crazy life. But I don't think she cared! You'll notice in the black and white photo-Carson is trying to get at her cake. This photo is shot right before the girls yelled at baby brother because he was sticking his finger in the cake. Typical at our house!
Anyway- Joey's was the easiest labor and birth for me. I wonder if this will transpire as she gets older. I doubt it. She is sassy and funny, but VERY empathetic. She especially loves animals. She wants to be a zoo keeper and wants to know when we are going to the zoo...again! Happy Birthday Peanut!!!!!!!!!!

Josephine 5 years old! at OneTrueMedia.com

Joey turns 5 on Thursday. She is a delight in our family. She makes us laugh and smile. You'll notice several pictures of her sleeping at the table. If she is so tired- she will fall asleep right during meal time! We love you Joey!

Hockey, Hockey, and wait............more Hockey!!

Oh Lord have mercy I am an official "Hockey Mom"! Hockey tournament in Moose Lake this past weekend. Two looooooong days! Good thing I like a good hockey game. And if you think this laid back, soft spoken Mommy is quiet in the stands, then you'd be wrong! Sophia scored two goals- not bad for her rookie year! She is competitive big time! I'm thinking she gets that from Daddy! Too bad Joey inherited my "oblivious" gene! She had fun anyway chasing the puck! My girls were troopers and played their hearts out at every game! I was so proud of them. Hockey is over now- next year Sophia will be on a different team, so there will be even MORE hockey for me!

Me and my Josephine the JellyBean!

Here is me and Joey goofing around. She has informed that she likes to be called Josephine because that is her fancy princess name! Holy cow she is going to be 5 in a few weeks!

Coach Daddy

My Dad and I got a chance to watch Brad's team play this weekend. Which it was a treat for me because I didn't have worry about who needed a snack, go potty or who is going to fall face first on the bleachers! It was intense and I can only imagine it will get more intense when you watch your own kids play! I enjoy watching a high school bball game- not so much a NBA fan, but these games are fun! It is also fascinating to watch my husband, you think you know someone, but I see him in a different light. I always knew how smart he is- but it is great to see him so passionate about his team! Go Jags!

Birthday Eve

Seven years ago the labor started and I was timing contractions. About 2 am I woke Brad and we headed to the hospital to start our family. It was a looooooong day, for Sophia wasn't born until 6pm. And I was terrified not knowing what to expect. However my mom was right and as soon as they but that baby on your chest you totally forget the pain. Sophia was the best birthday gift I ever received. She is a special little girl. Serious, creative and sensitive- but headstrong, she is her mother's daughter. But she is quick with numbers and competitive, which she gets from her Daddy. We are so lucky to have her as our first born. (Let's see if that's the case on her 15th birthday!!)
As for me- I am turning 33. Not that old I know, but I don't feel over 30! I have accomplished most of the goals I wanted to- start a family, get my master's degree, and work in a job that I love. So the only thing I haven't done is make it to Italy, but I am confident I will someday.....
I am a lucky girl who has a loving family and great friends. AND I get to share my birthday with my first born- how great is that!

Sophia 7 years at OneTrueMedia.com

Here are some pictures of Sophia the last few years. We are getting ready for her to turn 7 on Thursday!

Birthday Treat

I took the the kids to the MOA for their birthday treats. Since the girls' birthdays are so close- instead of a birthday party, we went to American Girl Doll store, and Build- A-Bear. The dolls got a hairdo and all 3 kids picked out a bear and outfits! We even snuck in a trip to the Underwater Adventures! What a fun day! Thanks Ballards and Pecards!
