School Shooting

How do you answer the question "Mom, could this happen in our school?" Well I don't lie to my children and if you know me at all, you know I speak frankly to them.  All I could answer was "I believe that you are safe". But that's sort of a lie. I don't think we are safe. However, we are not really safe any where. Not at school, not at a mall, or the movies or even our homes. Man these kids have so much crap they have to deal with. Not only do we practice fire drills, tornado drills and intruder drills!

Myself and my coworkers have all been threatened, by first graders! And that's just the students, parents are a whole different story! So many people to be scared of!

But all I can do is pray. Pray for the families, pray for my family, and pray that some how we can change society.

BENTLEYVILLE!

We went to Bentleyville last night! It was packed and cold, but fun!!! We saw Santa and Rudoph! As you can see in the last picture, they were tuckered out!

Elf

So that sneaky Elf on the Shelf showed up at the Hopkins' residence this past weekend. He was sent to watch over kids and then report back to Santa on if they have been naughty or nice.  Each day he is in a new spot and kids have to find him. I will add pictures of this later! The kids can't touch him or he looses his magical powers!

Student of the month!

Sophia is student of the month for her class for the month of October! We are proud of her! ( they make the 4th graders wear those ugly yellow t-shirts!) Way to go Punky!

Doll Costumes

 The girls and I took a craft class on American girl doll costumes. It was so fun! They made a mermaid costume, hula costume,pirate, and accessories for fairy, witch and magician costumes! They had fun showing Dad what they made and mom taking pictures!! Now the hard part, what should dolly dress up as for halloween? VOTE FOR YOUR CHOICE ON POLL ON RIGHT!!!!

First Gopher Game

 Carson got the first Golden Gopher ticket! He lasted until the 4th quarter! Memories made!

White Pine Threshing Show

 White Pine Threshing Show- the first time we went. It's a small old town- that exhibits old tractors, school, print shop, post office, church, mill, black smith, and Brad's ancestors old house!
