Birthday Eve

Seven years ago the labor started and I was timing contractions. About 2 am I woke Brad and we headed to the hospital to start our family. It was a looooooong day, for Sophia wasn't born until 6pm. And I was terrified not knowing what to expect. However my mom was right and as soon as they but that baby on your chest you totally forget the pain. Sophia was the best birthday gift I ever received. She is a special little girl. Serious, creative and sensitive- but headstrong, she is her mother's daughter. But she is quick with numbers and competitive, which she gets from her Daddy. We are so lucky to have her as our first born. (Let's see if that's the case on her 15th birthday!!)
As for me- I am turning 33. Not that old I know, but I don't feel over 30! I have accomplished most of the goals I wanted to- start a family, get my master's degree, and work in a job that I love. So the only thing I haven't done is make it to Italy, but I am confident I will someday.....
I am a lucky girl who has a loving family and great friends. AND I get to share my birthday with my first born- how great is that!
