4-wheeling video

4-wheeling

Grammie, Papa, Brad, the kids, Brooke and myself went 4wheeling. We rode to Brook Park where they have the best bar burgers ever! FUN! On our way back we took a detour to the hunting land to check on the cabin and deer feeders.

Hanging out at Fire Station

Hanging out with Dad at the fire station for a fire safety class. Brad #9 is where he hangs his gear. My heart still drops a little when his fire pager goes off- not sure if he will be safe.

Play Ball!!!

On our 11th anniversary we took the kids to a Twins game. Twins lost to Braves- Kubel choked in the 8th inning on bases loaded. So the last few innings were tense. The kids had a ball (pun intended). Carson was a bit wiggly- but we kept his busy. The girls brought their pink baseball gloves just in case they caught a ball. It was a wet game- luckily our seats were covered. The new Target Field is quite impressive. The only drawback is you have to take out a loan to buy a family of 5 dinner and Twins gear! We got free straw hats though! I would like to go back sans kids to really enjoy the game- and a few beers! Can you get to work on that Brad?

My boy

First day of summer. I turn my back for a second and I found Carson sitting in a mud puddle, having a snack of mud pies. I brought him in for a bath- and he was not thrilled at getting his picture taken!

Something we've been working on at school

Hinckley Press Release.

On May 18-20, Hinckley Elementary School hosted researchers from California, New York and Washington State who are working on a United States Department of Education study of reading instruction. Hinckley was one of five schools in the nation selected for this study because of the reputation of its reading program. The researchers observed classroom reading instruction, interviewed administrators and teachers, and sat in on teachers’ planning meetings. The researchers reported that they were deeply impressed by Hinckley’s innovative system for providing individualized reading instruction for all students. They said that few schools in the country have developed a working system for evaluating student needs and getting individualized reading instruction where and when it is most needed.

Just more proof that I love my job and the people I work with.

First Fishing of the Season

As usual the minnow bucket was more fun than fishing. Why? Because we caught NOTHING!

Sophia's Moves

So, Sophia has her Mom's moves..... this was at our First Grade Dance for the end of the year party. Sorry it's sideways.

Joey's Favorite Spot

Joey's favorite spot to nap is behind Daddy's legs. Maybe it's because it's the perfect spot for her tiny body, or maybe because it's warm like a space heater....either way, she likes this spot. Maybe Daddy can make it to nap time when kindergarten starts to help her out......or maybe not!
