My mother made it look so easy.....
Several times a day I self reflect on myself as a mom, wife, teacher, daughter,sister and friend. Did I make sure I tell my kids I love them today? Did I kiss them goodbye? Was I too hard? Not hard enough? Did I forget some one's birthday? Did I give enough positive reinforcement? Every once in awhile I get a little gift that says everything is fine. Sophia is headed off to camp tomorrow and she just gave me a note that says " Mom, I will miss you when I am at camp. Here is a gift for you" and wrapped in tissue was one of her beloved wrist bands! She says" you can use it on the treadmill to wipe your head." Of course I teared up- how sweet to give your mom something so important to you! And then I head down the hall to see Joey building a train track for Carson to play! ( a big achievement because these two fight constantly!) I'm sure I've jinxed myself and I'll be ready to scream this afternoon. But it's worth mentioning.

The Hopkins Roller Derby!
Yes, Yes that is Carson in his big sister's old roller skates. They are pink and princess- but he spent the whole time digging in the puddle for worms!

We love to roller blade in the circle in front of our house. Great practice for hockey season!
Girl Scout Ceremony
Both girls are in the Girl Scout program. Sophia just bridged from Brownies to Junior Scouts and Joey just finished her first year of Daisies. I am leader for Joey's group this year and both girls sold 75 boxes of cookies this year! ( ok so our family bought ALOT of those but still)

Joey's Kindergarten Graduation
Joey's Kindergarten Graduation! We were so proud of our peanut yesterday. She has come so far since she started school. She is a hard worker and a a JOY to have around. Of course both Daddy and I sobbed in the audience we were so proud. She had a special part in the program. Blogger won't let me upload the video because it is too big- but it's uploaded on facebook and you can watch her "solo". I imagine when it's Carson's turn for kindergarten graduation I will be a puddle on the floor! Good Job JoJo!

First Communion

Sophia's first communion went very well today. She looked too grown up in her dress and veil. I still picture her as five. Special thanks to my family and Brad's parents for attending and helping with dinner afterward. Congrats Sophia, we love you!
