Happy New Year!

Well 2011 is here! Life goes by so quickly I'm not sure where the time went! We had quite the adventures is 2010. I'm trying to remember my favorite memory of this year but there are too many! The best times are with family of course and watching my kids grow.
Sophia is in the middle of her 2nd grade year. She is very good in school. Serious and thoughtful and has an amazing memory! She is fiercely competitive and strives to do her best in the things she likes to do. She likes to try new things. Especially sports and baking/cooking. Her dad recently took her out to shoot her Red Rider bb gun and she loved it! She also loves playing hockey and the new wii Santa brought this year. She likes to beat everyone it Mario Cart!
Joey is halfway through kindergarten. Her teacher says she has the heart of gold and so courteous of others. She is an empathetic soul and is worried about how everyone is doing. But oh what a cut up she is. You have to listen to her constant chatter carefully and you will soon be laughing and the comments she makes. She is a fashionista and comes up with some interesting outfits. She is the life of the party for sure. But don't mess with her because she will take you down!
Well that leaves Carson. Oy vey! Carson is cuddly (on his terms) and very loving little boy. He is recently obsessed with Toy Story and Buzzlight year. Daddy and Carson play catch with a football pretty much all day! He also likes tools, trains, cars, and airplanes. Carson is still working on the potty training, being stubborn is not helping at all! I only hope he is trained before next fall or he cannot attend preschool. He keeps us on our toes for sure.

Brad continues to work for the feds. Thanks to Mr. President his salary is frozen for the next 2 years. :( But we are thankful he has a good job. He is not coaching basketball this winter, and we are enjoying having him home more! Hopefully he will get more ice fishing in this winter. Momma loves fresh walleye!
Not much new for me. Still love my job teaching first grade. I signed up to be Joey's Girl Scout Leader this year. I also enjoyed my trip to Oregon for a Reading Conference this summer. The Pacific Coast was so pretty!
My resolution for 2011 is to continue to work on getting healthy, being a better wife, a more patient mom, and a more positive person.
Hope your 2011 is totally wicked !
Love,
Jill
Oh yeah- Brad and I just scored two free Blackberry phones! So we will spend the first part of the year learning how to use a smart phone! yeah!

First Snow Fall part 1

Gotta love the first snow fall. Beautiful, wet, and sticky snow graced our landscape Saturday. The start of a long white season. Goodbye green grass..........
